Riverviews: Awareness
Accessible
Waterways
Association
The Accessible Waterways
Association hope that
this will help to generate
understanding and
consideration from fellow
waterway users /staff/
volunteers, as well as
informing others that some
extra help/support may be
required while using the
Waterways.
Boaters
Blue Card
The Boaters Blue Card bears a
simple, clear logo that does not state
the nature of the bearers disability.
The card is a 15cm square ‘badge’
made of a durable and waterproof
material.
The Boaters Blue Card does not carry any entitlement to
moor in otherwise restricted/forbidden spots.
The Environment Agency are committed to
supporting all users of our Waterways. By the
end of 2024, all Waterways sta昀昀 will be trained in
what the Boaters’ Blue Card means, as well
as learning what appropriate help
might be required and ways in which
this can be done safely.
