discipline or sporting event that has made a notable
performance over the last year. This could have been

This award honours someone who has contributed
significantly to sport in Suffolk during their lifetime.
This year the winner was decided by a panel of industry
professionals and was not eligible for public voting.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is sponsored again this year by
Sentinel Leisure Trust and Active Waveney. Over the last 6 years
Sentinel has continued to develop to further improve physical activity
and health in its communities through sport, leisure and educational
opportunities. The outstanding achievements of Suffolk’s exceptional
athletes would not be possible if it wasn’t for the many people who
work hard behind the scenes. These awards are a truly fitting way of
recognising and rewarding such extraordinary people involved in sport
and we are proud to sponsor such a prestigious category.
