OUR FOOD HALL AND SPEEDY BAR SERVE HOT AND COLD SNACKS,
MEALS AND DRINKS BEFORE SCHOOL, AT MORNING BREAK AND AT
LUNCH. THE FOOD IS HOMEMADE BY OUR FANTASTIC CATERING TEAM
AND IS TASTY, NUTRITIOUS AND VERY POPULAR.
You can eat your food inside or outside. We have seating in both
playgrounds and covered seating areas too. You can bring a
packed lunch from home and you can use the same seating
areas to eat with your friends.
You cannot eat in class or between lessons and you should only eat in the
designated areas, not in corridors or classrooms
At Westbourne, we do not allow our students to leave the school at break
or lunch to buy food.
If you have special dietary requirements or food allergies, then let us know
and we can provide you with the detailed ingredients.
Fizzy drinks and energy drinks are banned from school and will be
confiscated by staff. Please do not bring them to school or drink them
before school. They can affect your mood and behaviour and make it
more difficult for you to concentrate and do well at school.
Drinking water is important to help you concentrate, you should
bring a refillable drinks bottle every day, there are water fountains
around school where you can refill your bottle before lessons, at
break or lunchtime. You can buy a bottle for £1 from school.
We operate a cashless catering system, which means that to buy food
and drink at school your parent will need to put money onto a School
Money account. We do not accept cash in the food hall.
Students who are eligible for Free School Meals will automatically have
£2.41 a day to spend in school.

Parents can top this up if they wish to do so. Every student is given a four
digit PIN number, which is linked to their School Money account.
Don’t worry if you forget your PIN number because our staff can look you
up by your name as well!
