STUDENT. EACH WEEK OF THE SCHOOL YEAR IS LABELLED AS WEEK ONE
OR WEEK TWO. WE ALWAYS START IN SEPTEMBER ON WEEK ONE OF
STUDENT TIMETABLES.
Your timetable will tell you which room your lesson will be in and the name of your teacher. If
at first you do not understand the abbreviations, then ask your form tutor for help.
There are five blocks in Westbourne and in each block, you will find the following subjects:
A BLOCK - MATHS, MFL, EAL, PE AND CADETS.
B BLOCK - ENGLISH, DT, ICT AND THE LRC.
C BLOCK - SCIENCE, HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY,
RE AND FOOD TECH.
H BLOCK - PASTORAL HUB AND SEND DEPARTMENT
S BLOCK - ART, DRAMA AND MUSIC.
VT stands for vertical tutoring. Every day at this
time you will go to your tutor base for 20 minutes
with the rest of your form group or to a House
assembly in the main hall.
Morning break lasts 20 minutes. You will be able
to go outside or to the Food Hall to meet your
friends, have something to eat and drink and use
the toilet facilities.
Lunch time lasts 40 minutes. You can join a lunch
time club, do your home learning in the library or
sit outside in the covered areas if you want some
fresh air.
