Keeping our students safe and well both at
school and at home is very important to us.
This is called safeguarding.
Anyone can access the reporting system
from within the academy or from home,
and it is completely confidential.
If you have a problem, you should talk to
your House Pastoral Lead or your form tutor.
They can ask Mrs Clarke or Mrs Cook for
some help for you, if it is needed.
If you have a problem, need a hand, want
advice or don’t know what to do – you can
use our SHARP reporting system today. It
could be a problem at school or at home,
with your family or friends, or in the local
community.
If you do not want to speak to anybody
face to face, you can still ask for help using
our online SHARP system. When you start,
you will be given a card to show you how to
use this system.
SHARP is our confidential online reporting
system, for anyone to use to report anything
they feel unhappy about, or to ask for
advice.
The system also includes various pages of
advice and videos on all aspects of safety
and wellbeing, including bullying, e-safety,
posting photos/videos online, social media,
SPAM etc.
Information is most often shared with our Designated Safeguarding
Leads (DSLs for short!) who are:
Mrs Clarke
Mrs Cook
DSL DSL
Mrs K Jacobs
DDSL
Mrs R Green
Mrs Clarke
Deputy DSL DSL
Our DSLs are experts at protecting and preventing students from mental or
physical harm, and making sure that every young person in our academy
grows up with safe and effective care and education.
