Workforce
Active Suffolk is the strategic lead for the physical activity and sport workforce in Suffolk. Developed in
2019, the workforce strategy aims to broaden the workforce enabling people in Suffolk to lead active
lives whilst ensuring it meets the needs of our local people.

leading personal trainer course
providers, Study Active. The
project, funded via the CIMSPA
Retrain project, worked to
upskill staff to give the sector a
welcomed post-lockdown boost.
The project saw a range of
employees from two different
employers; Sentinel Leisure Trust
and Abbeycroft Leisure, achieve
their Level 2 Gym Instructing
and Level 3 Personal Training
qualifications.
